Four Consecutive Saturdays: 9/9, 9/16, 9/23 and 9/30
Week 1: Stand Tall: defining proper alignment from the ground up
Week 2: Unwind the spine: mobilize the back through twists and backbends
Week 3: Shoulder openers: stretch and strengthen the muscles of the upper body
Week 4: Forming an inversions practice: The 101 of getting upside-down
This 4-week series is designed specifically for those who are brand new to the practice of yoga as well as those who wish to get "back to basics" in an open and exploratory environment. Structural alignment of yoga postures will be explained in detail at a manageable pace to the beginning yoga student. Throughout the 4-week series, students will be invited to ask questions, to incorporate breathing techniques, and to explore the benefits of each pose within their own body.
Drop-ins are not available for individual sessions.
