Yoga For Teens
As a child, I studied ballet and gymnastics, and was in love with both. When it came time to start competing in gymnastics and get on pointe in ballet, I quit. The freedom I felt in both of these forms of movement was lost when they moved into a more competitive space.
When I entered my very first yoga class shortly after graduating college, I felt instantly at home. All that I had loved about ballet and gymnastics - grace, flexibility, balance, and strength - was there without the pressure of competition. The potential for growth in yoga is limitless. Now over 2 decades into my exploration of yoga, my curiosity and passion for this practice grows every time I get on my mat. As a teacher, I want to share this with my students, whether they have been practicing for 5 days or 5 decades.
My teaching is influenced by many styles of yoga. I enjoy it all - from the precision of Iyengar to the heat of vinyasa and the quiet of restorative. My classes are thoughtful, and quietly challenging.
I received my 200hr certification from YOGAspirit in 2005 and 500hr cerification from Barbara Benagh in 2012.
