Yoga for Us: BIPOC Only Space One Year Anniversary!

This monthly yoga offering visioned by Marlene Boyette and facilitated by Marlene Boyette, Kiera Penpeci, and Sacha Mendoza on a rotating schedule, welcomes Black, Indigenous, and People of Color to explore a blend of postures intended to open and energize the body, as well as postures that sooth and calm.

This space aims to create a container where BIPOC community members can welcome joy and a sense of connectedness to their yoga practice.

Aspects of meditation, sound healing,
and pranayama will occasionally be infused into this offering.

This month marks the one year anniversary of this special offering at JP Centre Yoga. In celebration the opportunity to gather in community will take place after practice, and light refreshments will be served.

TEACHERS

This month’s class will be co-led by all three teachers - Sacha Mendoza (she/her), Marlene Boyette (she/her) and Kiera Penpeci (she/they) - with optional hands on assists provided with consent.
