EINAT PELED-KATZ (she/her)

A native of Israel, I grew up as a classically trained violinist and later served as an army officer.  I took my first yoga class after moving to Boston, and for the first time discovered a physical activity which I actually liked. I grew stronger and more flexible, and started to feel a sense of comfort and ease in my own body which I had not experienced before, so yoga became a daily part of my life. Through my continuous study of yoga, both on and off my mat, I experienced this system as an integrative, transformative force and I continue to find balance, clarity, and wisdom to help me live a more meaningful and joyful life and to carry me through difficulties and hardship. Yoga has been a gift in my life, one that I wish to pass on and to share with others.

I see myself foremost as a yoga student, and I am inspired and nourished by different styles and methodologies of yoga. From my roots in power yoga, through the structure and subtleties of Iyengar to the dynamic transitions of vinyasa flow, I enjoy it all. Hands-on assists are an integral part of my teaching. The right touch has the power to inform, transform, and connect teacher and student. I led many assisting workshops and trained assistants in the Boston area for the past few years.

The practice of yoga is lifelong and for everyone at every stage. To this end I teach a strong flow and promote sustainability through structural alignment. Above all, I want to share my joy and enthusiasm for mindful movement with my students.

What You Can Expect From My Classes

I work at a slightly slower pace, with attention to detail and alignment, and using props creatively. Slowing things down and breaking down poses is challenging and requires focus, so expect the occasional sweat. Usually I incorporate a few Sun salutations and a sequence that explores a theme (a specific movement, shape, or joint). I like to keep things light-hearted and playful.
