200 HOUR FOUNDATIONS YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

CERTIFIED BY YOGA ALLIANCE

Take the leap and dive

into the concentrated practice, study, and application of the teachings of the living tradition of Yoga.

This training will encourage you to expand your view of yoga on the mat and off by exploring the historical and cultural contexts from which the yogic teachings were born as well as considering how yoga functions in modern times.

ABOUT THE TRAINING

In this course, we will study yoga philosophy that is rooted in ancient scriptures which have sought to understand the human experience and direct us toward self-realization. We will also explore yoga as a current day industry and consider how the study and practice of yoga intersects with social justice and liberation movements. Our goal is to draw from the timeless teachings of Yoga that direct us out of human suffering while contextualizing them within our lives in today's world.
Our team of teachers will provide a well-rounded education that will support you in developing your own voice and style with a skill set that is both anatomically and trauma informed. Our intent is to help you consider what elements help to create an inclusive and welcoming space that can meet a diverse range of needs. We will explore key aspects of dynamic and restful forms of yoga and learn how to work with groups and individuals, both in person and online.
Over the course of our time together, students can expect to engage with their learning in a variety of ways to bring the material to life and support different learning styles - this can include: personal and group practice, lecture, small & large group discussion, readings and podcasts, practice teaching, project work to dive deeper into a particular topic, etc.
This training is suitable for both those who are interested in teaching after graduation and those who are pursuing their own self-study without a goal of teaching.

TUITION

In support of increasing our awareness of collective care, JPCY offers tiered pricing which allows you to self-select the pricing options that best reflect your financial needs and resources in this moment. We are committed to addressing structural inequities that have historically existed in yoga spaces by creating a pricing model that reaches a wider range of students. The highest tier of this training is priced to reflect the market value for similar 200hr trainings in the Boston area. We ask those of you who can afford to invest in your learning at this tier to consider doing so - this pricing level contributes directly to the longevity of our small business and the livelihood of our teachers.

PAYMENT PLAN:
We do offer students the opportunity to pay the full tuition incrementally over the training period. With this, a $500 deposit is required at the time of registration. This is followed by 5 payments on the 1st of each month, between January-May, to pay the remaining balance.

HOW TO SELECT A TIER

  • Our Standard Rate reflects an average market rate. It is intended for those who are able to support JPCY at the true cost of our offerings.

This tier is suited for people with a stable income and access to food, housing, and healthcare, the ability to build savings and afford leisure activities (dining, traveling, etc).

  • This Rate provides a more comfortable option for anyone who cannot afford the Standrard Rate.

This tier is suited for people with unstable/reduced/low income that creates some stress about meeting basic needs.

    Use promo code Supported

  • The tier provides an even greater discount for those in need of greater financial assistance.

This tier is suited for people with unstable or inadequate income that sometimes prevents access to food, housing, and healthcare.

    Use promocode SupportedPlus

“It was integral in empowering me to not only be a teacher but also a better version of myself. It unlocked and continues to unlock the potential within me.”

-Hanne

There’s a real effort made to be inclusive - with the tiered pricing, to the affinity groups, and the lecture on white supremacy - which I really appreciated in a world where YTTs in many traditional settings are fraught with controversy and lack of inclusivity. Even with this modern approach, thank you for layering in the traditional - it brought a lot of nuance to the Indian and Hindu culture that I grew up with to actually see it in practice in the classroom.” — Kavita
