ABBY KEENE (she/her)
My yoga mat is my constant, my best friend, my teacher. I find myself returning to practice again and again, seeking a renewed opportunity to understand myself deeply.
I believe yoga is about trusting your perception, moving honestly, wandering off course, and returning with gentleness and grace.
A life-long New Englander, studying locally in pursuit of degrees in history and education, I desire to bring curiosity, attention, and love into everything I do.
What To Expect In My Classes
My class is living and breathing. It mirrors the room, adaptive and responsive. I carry anecdotes from my own practice and a favorite book to share. Years of study with Elliott McEldowney, Sam Glannon, Masaaki Okamura, David Swenson, and Saraswathi Jois have made hands-on teaching a loving and skilled addition to my class. If I’m not guiding you individually, I’m on my mat practicing beside you. Classes typically flow from meditation to a juicy warm-up, variations on classic sun salutations, then balance work, backbends, and inversions to close.
