ANNIKA HOLMBERG (she/her)
My first savasana is a moment I will never forget. It was my first encounter with awe in stillness. I was fortunate enough to have been brought to a class by my mother at the age of 12 and since then, yoga has been an anchor for my physical and spiritual wellbeing. After experiencing the unique benefits of yoga when I was postpartum, I was motivated to pursue teaching training through JP Centre Yoga in early 2025 followed by a perinatal yoga training with Yoga Renew.
Off the mat, I am a JP local, mama of three fur babies and one human baby, and work as a mental health nurse practitioner. I am very grateful for the JP Centre Yoga community.
What You Can Expect From My Classes
In my classes, I aim to guide asana as an extension of savasana, using cues that cultivate mental clarity and somatic awareness. My vinyasa-inspired sequences draw on my dance background, weaving smooth transitions and intentional moments of stillness that create a sense of moving meditation. I also emphasize choice and autonomy—each pose and variation is an invitation rather than an expectation.
