BETH GRANNAN (she/her)

Yoga has been a steady support in my life since graduating college in the late 90’s.  I began my journey with more athletic, heated forms of yoga. As I moved through different stages of life (from pregnancy, to new mom, to now midlife) my practice has shifted and evolved to include more restorative practices.  My teaching centers mental and emotional balance just as much as bringing more physical comfort to your body. When I am not teaching, I am working one on one with clients in my private yoga therapy practice in JP. 

My love for learning has led me to many certificates over the last 20+ years:  200 hr YTT from YogaSpirit Studios (2005), 500 YTT from Barbara Benagh and most recently a 600 hr Yoga Therapy certification from Phoenix Rising (2020). Additional certifications include: Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy Training, Thai Yoga Massage level 1, Restorative Yoga Teacher Training, The Art of Assists, Yoga for Anxiety and Depression, and Reiki level 1.

Yoga has offered me greater strength, clarity, and calm for the better part of threee decades. My aim is to share what has helped heal deeper layers of myself with my students.

What To Expect From My Classes

In my classes, I will guide you to center breath, move at your own pace, and always honor what your body needs. There will be invitations to modify, intensify, or downshift throughout class. I encourage students to tune into their body’s needs and honor them. As a student of many teachers who were influenced by Iyengar, I also love to include detailed alignment when appropriate. My classes are suitable for beginners to more seasoned practitioners.
