CASEY GREENLEAF (she/they)
My first experience with yoga was at age 12 when my mother brought me to class alongside her, but over the years my relationship with yoga deepened into something much more personal. The practice finally became my own in my early 20's when, amidst the hustle, yoga became a modality for me to get in touch with everything I spent the day armoring myself against.
I continually found myself gravitating toward classes that danced and flowed, had great music, and I felt I could laugh, play, and connect with others. Everywhere I lived, yoga grounded me in community. After many years of holding off, I dove into the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at JP Centre Yoga in the spring of 2025 and left both touched and inspired by my teachers and fellow trainees.
Both an artist and community builder off the mat, I have come to see yoga in the same way I view my art practice. It is a place to express creatively and authentically, and to uncover ourselves and the world around us!
What You Can Expect From My Classes
My classes will combine playful postures and sequences with intentional transitions interwoven with opportunities for mindfulness. I aim to facilitate a trauma-informed space where you can find joy, build a deeper connection and trust with your body, and witness the magic of yourself amongst others.
