Cultivating Mindfulness, Compassion, and Insight: A Comprehensive Meditation Course


Join Noel Coakley (he/him) of the Boston Center for Contemplative Practice this fall for a comprehensive meditation course.

Designed for those who are new to meditation and for experienced practitioners alike, “Cultivating Mindfulness, Compassion, and Insight” is a comprehensive meditation course that combines mini-courses, a half day practice, and a full retreat day into one semester-long journey.

This course offers a holistic approach to mindfulness and self-discovery, providing a variety of meditation practices and  teachings to support your personal growth and development within the context of a safe and supportive practice community.

Eight sections, each focusing on a specific aspect of meditation and mindfulness, are combined to create a comprehensive semester long course for $699, or available individually with a la carte pricing.

  1. Introduction to Mindfulness: Cultivating Presence and Awareness — $150

    Mondays 8/28, 9/4, 9/11, and 9/18 from 7-8:30PM

  2. Mindful Morning: A Half-Day Practice Retreat — $75
    Saturday 9/23 from 12-3PM

  3. Discovering Your Path: How Meditation Can Help Align Actions with Purpose — $75
    Mondays 9/25 and 10/2 from 7-8:30PM

  4. Transforming the Mind Through Contemplation — $75
    Mondays 10/9 and 10/16 from 7-8:30PM

  5. Bodhicitta: Awakening the Heart of Compassion for Self and Others — $110
    Mondays 10/23, 10/30, and 11/6 from 7-8:30PM

  6. The Art of Focused Attention: Mastering Concentration — $75
    Mondays 11/13 and 11/20 from 7-8:30PM

  7. Awakening Insight: Discovering the Nature of Mind and Consciousness through Vipassana Meditation — $110
    Mondays 11/27, 12/4, and 12/11 from 7-8:30PM

  8. Meditation Intensive: A Full-Day Retreat for Meditation and Connection — $200
    Sunday 12/17 from 12-8PM

Mondays 7:00 - 8:30 PM EST
Two weekend days - Saturday, September 23rd & Sunday, December 17th

Recordings will be available to those who can’t participate live, and for review.

ABOUT NOEL COAKLEY (he/him)

Noel (he/him) is a mental health counselor and former school teacher (special ed.), Meditation Facilitator, Director of the Boston Center for Contemplative Practice, and Assistant Director of Dharma Moon.

He has been practicing meditation since 1996, initially with Indo-Tibetan traditions and then Yundrung Bön. Noel has been fortunate to learn from over 100 teachers, including HH the Dalai Lama and HH the 34th Menri Trizin.
