Summer Meditation Practice Community with Noel Coakley

Maintaining a regular meditation practice can be challenging, especially in the midst of our busy lives. Practicing in community can provide the structure, encouragement, and shared experience that help practice deepen.

This practice focused group will orient around experiential meditation (vs a course based on study or philosophical understanding). While study and conversation can be helpful, the heart of the practice is showing up, sitting, and becoming more familiar with our own mind.

Each session will include:

  • Guided and silent meditation to develop mindfulness, concentration, and insight

  • Brief practice instructions tailored to the group’s needs

  • Group discussion to explore meditation’s application in daily life

We'll explore foundational and advanced meditation practices, including mindfulness (shamatha), concentration, compassion (metta, tonglen), and insight (vipassana, emptiness). Whether you're looking to build consistency, deepen your existing practice, or simply sit with others, this group offers a space for ongoing support and connection. This group is open to those who are new to practice and those with a long standing practice.

*For those who cannot attend live or would like to review, each session will be recorded and accessible for the duration of the course.
