One of the great benefits of having a yoga practice over time is learning to work with the dings and bumps that affect our bodies as we live in them. Even though movement is an excellent antidote and can help solve many of these conundrums, sometimes the inclusion of other tools creates more ease and a greater opening for relief from tightness, stiffness and injury. Self-massage is a wonderful partner to the work we already do in yoga.
This workshop is meant for anyone who wants to feel better inside their body and cultivate more space for breath. We will explore and learn some delicious self massage techniques using regular yoga props that can be extremely effective for opening and rebalancing the body. We will work methodically, following the fascial lines, using them as road maps, in order to reach tight nooks and crannies that may not get this kind of care and work otherwise. The sequence might contain little snippets of functional movement woven throughout as a way to test things out.
All levels and abilities are welcome. This workshop is for everyone.
