ALBERTINE DIAMOND (she/her)
Since yoga was introduced to me by my high school track coach, its meaning has evolved as I enter different phases of my life. As a high school and college athlete, I practiced vinyasa to build strength. In the early stages of my corporate career, I went to the mat to quiet my mind.
Over the past three years, as my practice has deepened to include breathwork and meditation, yoga has become a way to connect more fully with my body through felt experience, rather than external appearance. As I learned in my 200-HR YTT at JPCY, “Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” For me, yoga is a practice of self-knowledge, a continual reminder that I am enough as I am.
What You Can Expect From My Class
As someone who views yoga not only as a personal journey to self but also as a collective wellness practice, I aim to cultivate an inclusive and welcoming environment where students feel safe to explore, listen to their body, and find joy in mindful movement, stillness, and everything in between.
