This offering is a 4-class series thoughtfully designed for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) who are either new to yoga or seeking to reconnect with and deepen their foundational understanding of the practice.
This series offers a welcoming space to begin, or begin again - with intention, curiosity, care, and fun.
Led by trauma-informed yoga instructor and community wellness practitioner Marlene Boyette, each class will explore essential elements of yoga in a way that centers accessibility, safety, and self-trust.
We’ll cover:
Foundational postures and their alignment to support the body with clarity and ease
How to use yoga props (blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets) as tools for comfort, stability, and exploration
Breath awareness (pranayama) to anchor and support the nervous system
Transitions and sequencing basics that build strength and confidence over time
Approaches to rest and recovery, including guided relaxation and restorative postures
This series is not about performing the “perfect” pose - it’s about cultivating a personal practice that feels safe, affirming, and sustainable.
Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or re-establishing a connection to your practice, this offering seeks to create space for you to move at your own pace, with the support of community.
All bodies and experience levels welcome. Props provided in Studio.
This space is for us.
