Fundamentals of Stillness: Mindfulness Practices and Yin Yoga with Noel Coakley and Emily Peterson

Mindfulness invites us into direct, moment-to-moment presence — meeting each breath, sensation, and thought with curiosity and kindness.

To begin, Noel will offer an accessible introduction to mindfulness: how attention, breath, and awareness can steady the nervous system and meet yourself with clarity and compassion.

From there, Emily will guide a grounding Yin Yoga sequence, continuing the same qualities of mindfulness within long-held, time-based shapes. Yin offers a spacious container to notice subtle shifts, soften resistance,  and explore presence through stillness. Together, these practices highlight the inseparable nature of mind and body — awareness expressed through form, feeling, and breath.

There will be time for reflection and questions as we explore how mindfulness and Yin complement one another and how they can become supportive anchors in everyday life.

All are welcome.
