XENIA DVORIANTCHIKOVA (she/her)
I fell in love with yoga in my teen years and it has been a source of joy, mental steadiness, and transformative magic in my life ever since.
My approach to teaching is inspired by a variety of traditions and continuing education with my favorite teachers today. I believe that different things work for different people, at different times, and there is so much to be gained by listening to our body’s innate wisdom at any given moment.
I come to the mat again and again because I believe you can always learn and embody more, no matter your age or stage in life. I adore being a forever student, and continue to deepen my practice with breathwork, meditation, kirtan, and the stories and mythologies that inform an imaginative and empowering approach. I truly believe that yoga allows us to move through the world well, physically and mentally, and that practice on the mat is just the beginning. Beyond yoga, I am passionate about seeing the world, eating well, getting outside, and learning from different cultural perspectives.
What To Expect From My Classes
A challenging but approachable sequence with plenty of options for modifications, some targeted toning or stretching to support the body in more dynamic poses, bad jokes, individualized attention and feedback, a range of funky playlists, and approaches to poses or flows from different traditions. I strive to read the room and adjust based on what is most useful and freeing for my students.
